Progress Report
All PhD students that are going to complete the second year must present the progress report concerning their PhD work.
This is a precondition for the transition to the third year.
The aim is to evaluate the work plan presented with the thesis proposal and, if required, suggest some modifications
Suggestions on how to organize the report and on the evaluation procedures are listed below.
Fulfillments Schedule
For the time schedule, see the deadline time table:
-
Delivery of the report (pdf is the preferred format).
- Report discussion in the presence of the evaluation committee.
-
The evaluation committee provides an opinion on the transition to the next year.
Report Structure
The progress report should be a 3-5 pages long document (written in English or Italian), including:
- The current progress of the work plan presented in the thesis proposal.
-
The description of possible unexpected problems, for which an update to the work plan might be required.
- An updated work plan for the last year.
- An updated outline of the thesis.
