I was born 20 May 1957, in Alghero (SS), Italy. I am Italian citizen, live in Genova and I have a daughter.

Degrees

Laurea in Mathematics (1980) at the University of Genova.

Professional Position

I am associate professor (Professore Associato) at DISI (Dept. of Computer Science of the Genova University) since November 2000. I have been before researcher (Ricercatore) at DISI from December 1989, scientific collaborator of Progetto Finalizzato per l'Informatica - P1 - Cnet (1982/1983), scientific consultant of CRAI (Consorzio per la Ricerca e le Applicazioni di Informatica) for the project The Draft Formal Definition of Ada (1985 - 1987), and scientific collaborator of DRAGON- Esprit 1550 (1987 - 1990).
From March 15, 2002, to June 15, 2002, I was on leave at University of Oregon

Research Interests

My current research is in the area of programming languages, on the topic design and foundations of modular and object-oriented languages and systems.
