Stefano Rovetta received a Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering and a PhD degree in Models, Methods and Tools for Electronic and Electromagnetic Systems, both from the University of Genova.

He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer and Information Sciences of the University of Genoa, where he teaches several courses on introductory Computer Science and machine learning/neural networks.

From 1993 to 2000 he was a research assistant with the Electronic Systems and Networking Group of the Department of Biophysical and Electronic Engineering, University of Genova.

In 1997 he was invited professor of Operating Systems at the University of Siena. In 1998 he was invited professor of Electronics at the University of Genova.

His current research interests include neural networks theory, implementation and applications. He is the author or co-author of several scientific papers, published by international journals and conference proceedings.

S. Rovetta is married with Marina and has two daughters, Elisa, 5 years old, and Elena, 2 years old.
