I have participated in the following research projects.
-
CLICKWORLD
CLICKWORLD is an industrial research project aimed to build a
Web proactive personalization system capable to tailor Web pages on user preferences. By using
distributed knowledge discovery techniques, the system
mines behavioral knowledge about users navigation sessions and
it uses this knowledge in order to specialize the contents of
its Web pages. To reach its overall objectives, the system
contains, among the others, a data management module (ClickData)
built on top of a webhouse supporting the storage and the
analysis of user navigational data extracted from Web navigation
observation by means of clickstreams analysis. In other words,
it manages knowledge extracted from users navigation
observations using a webhouse as support.
- PANDA - Patterns
for Next-Generation Database Systems
With the advent of hardware advances,
complex information resulting from data intensive applications is posing
requirements for today's (and tomorrow's) Database Management Systems
(DBMSs). Such information possesses a number of key features such as huge
volume of data, diversity and complexity. We claim that the term pattern
is a good candidate for generic representation of these novel information
types. PANDA Working Group will study current state-of-the-art in pattern
management and explore novel theorical and practical aspects of a pattern-based
management system (so-called, PBMS). Aided by an Industrial Advisory
Board, PANDA-WG will face application of the novel PBMS technology in real
needs, such as those found in financial and telecommunications fields.
