Anna Maddalena is a post-doc at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences of the University of Genoa, Italy, where she received her Ph.D., in 2006, and her MS degree in Computer Science, in 2001. Her research interests are focused in the area of databases and information systems, and they mainly include: pattern management and Datamining, Datawarehousing and Webhousing, XML query processing. She has been involved into the following national and european research projects: "CLICKWORLD - Tecniche Innovative di Web Proactive Personalization", national industrial project (MURST - L.488/92); "SPADA@WEB - Web-based Management and Representation of Spatial and Geographic Data", national research project (PRIN 2003); and "PANDA - PAtterns for Next Generation DAtabase Systems", European research project (IST/FET-2001-33058).
