Short CV

Angela Locoro earned one degree in modern literature and one in computer science from the University of Genova, where she also attended the PhD Course in Electronic and Computer Engineering, Robotics and Telecommunications. She is presently working as a postdoctoral fellow at the Computer Science Department of the same University within the group of Artificial Intelligence. Her research interests include Knowledge Representation, Semantic Web technologies, and Natural Language Processing (with a major focus on Word Sense Disambiguation). In particular her main publications focus on Ontology Matching, Ontology Learning from texts, concepts Disambiguation, and automatic Classification of documents based on standard metadata infrastructures for Digital Libraries. During her research activity she was involved for 3 years in the 5 years 6th FP European Project KP-Lab, whose main focus was the representation of collaborative creation of knowledge in knowledge practice environments such as those of both professional and educational settings.
