ACTIVITIES

The database research area started at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences (DISI) of the University of Genova in 1990.

This research activity concerns theories, architectures, and techniques for advanced data management systems. In particular, the research is focused on advanced data models (object-oriented databases, deductive databases, active databases, constraint databases), management of temporal, geo-spatial and semistructured data, Web and databases, indexing techniques and database security, data mining and knowledge management.
