| Abstract |
AgentSpeak is an agent-oriented programming language based on logic programming and the Belief-Desire-Intentions (BDI) architecture for cognitive autonomous agents. Jason is an interpreter for an extended version of AgentSpeak, which implements the operational semantics of that language and provides a platform for the development of multi-agent systems, with many user-customisable features.
After briefly recalling the definitions of agent, multi-agent system, and BDI architecture, in this tutorial we will introduce AgentSpeak and we will demonstrate the main features of the agent-oriented programming approach by means of concrete examples programmed in Jason. |
