| Abstract |
After a short introduction on the meaning of 'Computer Assisted Surgery' the
presentation shows the features of the Image Guided Surgery System
developped and installed at the German Cancer research Center in
Heidelberg.
The point stressed is liver surgery and the importance of calculated
volumetry in planning resections following segmentation.
At the end it mentions ongoing researches in the field of
modeling soft-tissue-organ considering the problem of their instability
for real-time computer assisted surgery. |
