| Abstract |
We present an expression-insensitive 3D face recognition system, based on an extension of 3D Morphable Models (3DMMs).
3DMMs are generative models of 3D face data, originally designed only to handle identity variations:
a new 3D registration algorithm allows us to includes expression variations in the model.
The combined 3DMM we obtain can discriminate between identity and expression information in the 3D data,
thereby improving the recognition performance in the presence of facial expressions. |
